Short term fellowships at European facilities to boost the training of young Middle Eastern researchers in light source techniques
In order to further build user capacity within the Middle East scientific communities, a bursary programme for short term stays at large European facilities and selected institutions, is envisaged.
These training periods range from one to three months and the selected candidates are restricted to Master and PhD registered in a higher education organisation of a SESAME Member. The programme seeks participation broadly distributed throughout the Middle East, particularly the SESAME Members.
Students are selected based upon the quality of their application documents (CV, motivation letter, and project outline) and the match between the candidate profiles and the techniques to be implemented in the first SESAME beamlines.
Candidates must provide a letter of acceptance from the host institution stating the expected duration of the stay and any other important information such as availability of co-funding.
