Short report on the Life Science and IR Microspectroscopy thematic school

The Life Science and IR Microspectroscopy thematic school took place at SESAME from 14 to 19 April and was a real success!
21 students attended the school, coming from Palestinian Authorithy, Turkey, Iran,
Pakistan and Egypt. The programme covered a number of learning sessions, both
theoretical and practical, run by scientists working in European Synchrotron beamlines
and in SESAME.
Participants explored and developed a range of key practices, capabilities and skills associated with the use of an infrared synchrotron beamline, including sampling techniques, sample preparation and data handling.
The Sesame IR beamline instrumentation was available for the hands‐on sessions.
The school was higly appreciated by all students.
